About the role

In this position, you will be integral to the development of our IoT devices, focusing on the operating system and platform layer rather than traditional firmware for microcontrollers. You will be responsible for creating and enhancing our next-generation embedded Linux image and developing the Python application layer that operates within our dockerized main application. Your work will span the OS and hardware interface while implementing features in the application layer.

What you'll do

• Take charge of the design and development of the embedded Linux operating system for our IoT devices.
• Create and maintain the Python application layer that integrates with our main application, which is built using Docker.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of software and hardware components.
• Troubleshoot and optimize the performance of the operating system and application layer.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our products.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded Linux development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
• Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and kernel development.
• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Familiarity with Python programming for application layer development.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT protocols and standards.
• Knowledge of hardware design and interfacing.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
