Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer - Connected Systems (m/f/d)

In this role you will shape Linux-based machine software architectures from concept to production within the Connected Systems team. You will contribute to a global machine control and connectivity platform and develop embedded applications with a focus on security. You work closely with internal and external developers to integrate open source components and modern technologies. • Design and implement Linux-based machine platform and application software from concept to production
• Contribute to the global machine control and connectivity platform
• Develop embedded machine application and connectivity software components
• Integrate and contribute to modern Open Source components and projects
• Design and implement security concepts for machine control and telematics products
• Adopt and integrate latest software technologies and methodologies
• Support system integration and testing in an agile team with internal and external developers, testers and product owners

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or similar engineering field
• Strong experience in Rust and/or C/C++
• Expert knowledge in building embedded Linux systems (Yocto, U-Boot)
• End-to-End understanding of complex IoT systems (device & backend interfaces) is a plus
• Practical experience with continuous delivery and agile methods
• Knowledge of functional safety concepts is a plus
• Knowledge of modern software architecture principles in embedded software
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
