Senior Engineer Quality - Project Quality Management (m/f/d)

As the main quality contact for customers in commercial vehicle and ESS projects, you bridge customers and internal teams to drive quality outcomes. You lead design, development, and project QA activities and steer quality planning and documentation across the lifecycle. You coordinate site quality, witness quality events, and manage complex root-cause analyses with preventive actions. • Act as the primary quality contact for customers and maintain strong relationships
• Serve as the interface between customers and internal departments to drive quality topics across the project lifecycle
• Prepare, coordinate, and tailor quality documentation and requirements for tenders and development
• Review and negotiate quality-related contract clauses and customer requirements
• Lead quality activities during design, development, and project implementation (design reviews, quality planning, FQP)
• Monitor and lead site quality activities (quality witnessing, review of records, coordination of outsourced quality personnel)
• Coordinate site acceptance, TOP documentation, grid acceptance, and customer walkdowns
• Independently lead analysis and resolution of complex quality issues (root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions)
• Facilitate cross-functional problem solving and continuous quality improvement in an international project environment

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience in ESS, customer quality, project quality, or supplier quality
• Proven experience in direct customer interaction and handling customer requirements and escalations
• Strong knowledge of 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, FMEA, SPC and structured problem-solving methods
• Good understanding of quality management systems; IATF 16949 and VDA knowledge is an advantage
• Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English and German; Chinese is an advantage
