Senior Environment Health and Safety Specialist - EMEA

Overview

As the EHS Lead for NVIDIA’s EMEA sites, you drive safe, compliant, and sustainable operations across Germany, Switzerland, the UK, and other locations. You will represent EHS on the Munich campus and partner with cross-functional teams to align local practices with global NVIDIA standards. The role focuses on developing and maintaining EHS programs, guiding risk assessments, and shaping a proactive safety culture. This is an opportunity to influence safety across automotive and robotics labs and scale responsible operations in a fast-growing region.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Serve as on-site EHS representative for the Munich campus with regular travel to Zurich and oversight across EMEA sites
  • Lead EHS compliance reviews, document findings, drive corrective actions, and align with local regulations and NVIDIA standards
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems including procedures, training, inspections, chemical management, and corrective action tracking
  • Monitor regulatory requirements across Germany and EMEA; support risk assessments, permit management, recordkeeping, and inspections
  • Investigate incidents/near-misses, perform root-cause analyses, and track corrective actions with management and HR
  • Provide dedicated EHS support to Munich automotive and Zurich robotics operations, including risk assessments and safety procedures for human–robot interaction and fleets
  • Design and deliver EHS training (including NVLearn) for EMEA engineers and site-specific needs
  • Collaborate with RESS, Facilities, HR, Legal, Security, and Sustainability/ESG teams on site expansions and lab build-outs
  • Maintain EHS documentation and contribute to regional metrics feeding global EHS and ESG reporting
  • Champion a proactive safety culture by identifying risks, engaging stakeholders, and driving continuous EHS improvements across the region
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • 8–10 years of progressive EHS experience in high-tech/R&D environments; multi-site experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with European and German EHS regulations, risk assessments, workplace and lab safety, and audit/inspection handling
  • Experience supporting EHS programs in labs or technical environments and collaborating with engineers
  • Practical experience with EHS management frameworks (procedures, training, corrective actions)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence and drive actions across remote sites
  • Independent contributor with the ability to manage multiple priorities across regions
  • Professional proficiency in English; German language skills strongly preferred
