Senior Expert - 3GPP SA3 Standards

In this role you will drive security standardization for mobile networks within Huawei’s standards team. You will shape 5G/6G security expertise and represent the group in international standardization efforts. You will tackle evolving regulatory and policy challenges and collaborate with operators and standards bodies. This position offers high-impact work at the intersection of security, mobile architecture, and global collaboration, contributing to future mobile communication. • Contribute to generation and evaluation of innovative 5G/6G security standards for mobile systems
• Represent the standards team in external communications with operators and standards organizations
• Observe and interpret cyber security regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., CSA, CRA, AIA)
• Participate in 3GPP SA3 meetings and related forums
• Identify opportunities and challenges in the 5G certification landscape from a policy perspective
• Collaborate with a global team to align security standards with industry needs

• 5–10 years of experience in telecommunication and security industries
• Strong background in security techniques for mobile system architecture
• Good knowledge of mobile system trends including AI/ML and AI/ML security
• Excellent knowledge of security standards in 4G/5G
• Extensive knowledge of core network and wireless communication systems
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work in a global team
• Ability to travel and attend meetings, forums and workshops with customers
• Excellent English skills
• Experience with major standardization bodies (e.g., 3GPP SA3/SA)
• Be able to observe and interpret regulatory requirements
