Job Summary

Manage the technical and strategic direction of the DXL Microservice Platform in the AWS cloud, oversee operations, monitoring, deployment, as well as develop modern cloud‑native microservices with a focus on scalability, resilience, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and deploy the DXL Microservice Platform in AWS, including implementation of monitoring mechanisms and CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze and resolve complex incidents, coordinate improvement measures, and manage major incidents together with Delivery Units, Test‑Teams, Security and Infrastructure teams.
• Develop modern, cloud‑native microservices based on Java, Spring Boot, REST, and design implementations focused on scalability, resilience, and performance.
• Ensure compliance with cyber‑security guidelines for development and operations and derive concrete actions from Vodafone security requirements.
• Conduct security assessments and penetration tests, document findings (SecRDDs), and coordinate activities for security incidents and audits.
• Participate in Communities of Practice, assume deputy leadership functions, and collaborate across disciplines (Software Development, Testing, Cyber Security, Application Operations) at both working and leadership levels.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or the natural sciences, or an equivalent qualification.
• 10+ years of IT experience, preferably in DevOps, development or security roles.
• Deep understanding of complex IT landscapes and extensive experience with CI/CD toolchains (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and development with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, REST, Kafka.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), as well as scripting in Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Strong experience with monitoring tools and log analysis (Grafana, Splunk, Datadog).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles such as Shift Left Security and automated security tests and familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Preferred certifications: Certified DevSecOps Professional, AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, CKA/CKAD, etc.
• Experience with agile methods (Scrum or SAFe) and willingness to train and sensitize teams in security and DevSecOps processes.
• Optionally, the position can be performed either full‑time or nearly full‑time as part‑time (minimum 30 hours).
