Senior Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Senior Financial Accountant role supporting the Germany and Austria Controllership, ensuring accurate accounting under local regulations, US GAAP, and corporate policies. You will collaborate with global teams, auditors, and country leadership to enable timely closings, audits, and compliant financial reporting. The role combines technical accounting, cross-functional partnership, and process improvements within a multinational setting. You will contribute to integration of acquisitions and provide controllership support to local and global stakeholders.

• Review monthly results to ensure trial balance accuracy and support period closings
• Reconcile statutory to US GAAP for internal reporting and assist with tax bridges for deferred tax
• Coordinate with auditors and central teams to ensure data quality and resolve discrepancies between statutory and US GAAP statements
• Investigate accounting issues and provide timely feedback and solutions for management or audit
• Support tax audits with information collection and initial responses
• Assist integration activities for newly acquired companies and finance projects
• Prepare ad hoc reports for local leadership and Country Controller
• Serve as first point of contact for financial questions within legal entities and support internal controls
• Partner with internal teams to drive process improvements and maintain compliance with controls

• 7-10 years of accounting experience, ideally in a multinational environment or Big Four
• Strong knowledge of statutory and US GAAP accounting standards
• Understanding of taxation and transfer pricing principles
• Experience with shared service centers
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, NAV or similar and strong MS Office skills
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently
• High integrity, attention to detail, and collaboration with stakeholders
• Fluency in German and English (written and verbal)
• Qualifications or experience with Steuerberater / Wirtschaftsprüfer
