Overview

As a Finance Specialist at Fressnapf, you will lead the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions, aligning financial strategy with the company’s objectives while supporting data‑driven decision making for the future of retail and pet care.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic financial plans aligned with company goals.
• Translate corporate strategies into medium‑term planning, budgets, and forecasts.
• Continuously improve planning and forecasting processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.
• Act as a sparring partner for top management, providing insights for strategic financial decisions.
• Analyze financial data, market trends, and performance drivers to identify growth opportunities and efficiencies.
• Build and maintain robust financial models that support data‑driven decision making.
• Drive finance and transformation initiatives, harmonizing reporting structures, processes, and governance.
• Ensure an integrated view of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow to support financial control across the value chain.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or corporate controlling, preferably in a retail environment at a senior or expert level.
• Strong knowledge of planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Deep understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Experience developing integrated financial models and managing key financial metrics.
• Knowledge of consolidation and corporate structures is advantageous.
• Interest or experience in finance transformation, process optimisation, and modern control concepts.
• Proficient with BI, reporting, and planning tools, and openness to AI‑assisted finance solutions.
• Excellent analytical skills, structured working style, and high quality standards.
• Proactive, results‑oriented personality with strong stakeholder management up to senior management.
• Fluent in English and a completed university degree or equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience.
