Senior Forward Deployed Industry Consultant, Pharma - Bayer

In this role you embed with a large pharmaceutical client to co-create analytics- and AI-enabled capabilities on SAS platforms. You accelerate value by translating business needs into production-ready solutions that integrate with the client’s systems. You work across R&D, manufacturing, quality, and commercial ops to deliver measurable impact, while shaping capabilities for sustained use. • Serve as an embedded consultant with business and technical teams on-site
• Lead time-boxed innovation sprints (~12 weeks) across multiple cycles
• Translate business challenges into production-ready solutions built on SAS platforms
• Apply life sciences expertise across R&D, clinical development, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial operations
• Co-develop analytical methods, metrics, and AI-driven approaches for measurable sponsor impact
• Bridge industry context with technical execution ensuring compliance in regulated environments
• Design and deploy analytics pipelines, AI/ML workflows, and agent-based approaches using SAS technologies and APIs
• Prototype, iterate, and operationalize solutions towards scalable production-ready capabilities
• Collaborate with Global Account Directors and cross-functional teams to align innovation with account strategy
• Articulate business value and ROI while feeding customer needs back to SAS teams
• Uphold security policies and the company’s secure software development goals

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field
• Solid experience in life sciences/pharmaceutical consulting or analytics/technical delivery roles
• Hands-on experience building analytics- or AI-driven solutions in complex enterprise environments
• Ability to work embedded with customers and on-site in fast-moving, ambiguous settings
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical implementations delivering operational value
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience accepted
