The Role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and innovative Senior Full-Stack Engineer to architect high-performance web applications and accelerate our development velocity. You’ll play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between legacy systems and a modern, scalable future, working across the full stack to deliver seamless experiences for millions of students.

You will own the technical implementation of our core products using Nuxt.js and Node.js/Python. Beyond just coding, this role champions efficiency: you will leverage advanced AI coding assistants (like Cursor and Antigravity) and Model Context Protocols (MCPs) to set new standards for code quality and speed. If you are passionate about modernizing stacks, mentoring developers, and utilizing AI to code smarter, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

• Full Lifecycle Development: Architect and build high-performance web applications usingNuxt.js( Vue.js) on the client side andNode.js/Pythonon the server side.

• SSR & Optimization: LeverageNuxt.jsfor Server-Side Rendering (SSR) to ensure optimal SEO performance and fast load times.

• API Architecture: Design and optimizeGraphQL APIs to serve data to thousands of concurrent users.

• Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities to integrate new technologies (including AI tools) to improve developer velocity or product features.

• Mentorship: Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality and team growth.

Required Qualifications (Must Haves)

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.

• Frontend Mastery: Deep expertise inVue.js and theNuxt.js framework (lifecycle, middleware, plugins, and Pinia/Vuex).

• Backend Expertise: Strong commercial experience withNode.js/Python environments.

• Database Skills: Proficiency with SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases.

• Core JS: Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and asynchronous programming.

• Testing: Experience with testing frameworks like Jest, Playwright, or Vitest.

Good to Have

• Experience with AI-Assisted Development

  • AI Tooling: Proficient knowledge of AI coding assistants such asCursor, Windsurf, and Copilot .

  • Advanced Prompting: Experience witharchitecture prompting to design scalable systems and clean code structures.

  • Tool Integration: Usage ofModel Context Protocols (MCPs) to enhance development workflows.

  • Efficiency: Demonstrated ability to utilize AI tools efficiently to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.

• AI & LLMs: Experience integratingGoogle Gemini , OpenAI, or other LLMs into production applications.

• Cloud Infrastructure (GCP): Hands‑on experience withGoogle Cloud Platform (App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, or BigQuery).

Bonus Skills (The "X-Factor")

• PHP Proficiency: Ability to read, debug, and maintainPHP code. We don't need you to build new apps in PHP, but comfort working within a LAMP environment during migrations is critical.

• Python: Proficiency inPython for backend scripting, data processing, or AI/ML workloads.

• GraphQL: Experience designing schemas and consuming GraphQL APIs.

• EdTech Experience: Previous work in education technology or high-traffic consumer platforms.
