(Senior) Full-Stack Engineer [TypeScript - Prototyping] arbeitnow orcristtechnologies · 10/18/2026

Type: Onsite

Orcrist is building a next generation data intelligence platform using cutting-edge technologies. We're handling petabyte-scale data with sub-second queries. Our product is a Kubernetes‑based platform delivered as B2B SaaS or as a self‑hosted on‑prem solution, including air‑gapped deployments. We enable customers across defense, law enforcement, and enterprise to turn mission-critical data into actionable intelligence.

Role

Build validated prototypes—not throwaway demos. As a Full‑Stack Engineer on Innovation, you’ll ship thin vertical slices end‑to‑end (UI + APIs + data integrations), then package your work so a delivery team can productize it confidently.

What you’ll do

• Prototype thin vertical slices across React/Next.js UI, Node.js APIs, and supporting storage/search integrations.
• Collaborate with PM & Design in time‑boxed discovery cycles: iterate quickly, demo often, and validate assumptions.
• Align prototypes with shared primitives and standards: feature flags, auth flows, auditability, multitenancy assumptions, and basic observability.
• Integrate workflows touching streaming/orchestration (Kafka/Temporal) and partner with Data/ML engineers when needed.
• Ship an adoption package: documentation, interfaces, schemas, and an integration backlog that reduces handoff friction.

About you

• 3+ years building production web applications and APIs in TypeScript (React/Next.js + Node).
• Strong product‑engineering instincts: you can turn ambiguity into a tight 1–3 week prototype scope.
• Practical API and data‑layer skills (PostgreSQL; comfortable integrating search when needed).
• Comfortable working in Kubernetes/GitOps environments and maintaining good engineering hygiene (tests, CI, docs).
• Security‑conscious: you treat access control, privacy/PII handling, and audit expectations as part of “done.”
• Eligible to work in Germany; EU/NATO citizenship preferred for export‑controlled projects.

Nice‑to‑haves

• Real‑time UI experience (WebSockets/WebRTC, collaborative editing, CRDT/OT).
• Complex visualization experience (graph/geospatial UX; Cytoscape/D3/Mapbox/Cesium).
• Some Python comfort for quick data/ML integration.
• German language (B1+) and/or experience with regulated or mission‑critical systems.

What we offer

• Modern stack: TypeScript/React, Node, Go, Kafka/Temporal, Postgres/OpenSearch, Kubernetes.
• High‑impact work: your prototypes shape what becomes product across multiple delivery teams.
• Remote‑first, Germany‑wide: Work from wherever you do your best work, with regular team gatherings in Berlin and other off‑site locations.
• Flexibility by default: Flexible working hours help you make work fit your life.
• Your setup, your way: Get a personal home‑office equipment budget to create a workspace that works for you.
• 30 days of vacation:  Take the time you need to recharge and come back with fresh energy.
• Keep growing: We invest in your personal and professional development.
• Get rewarded for impact: Performance bonuses are tied to agreed objectives and key results.
• A warm welcome: Every new team member gets a welcome goodie bag.
• Good people, good times: From summer and Christmas parties to regular team gatherings, we make time to celebrate together.
• A mission that matters: Work on challenges with tangible impact on public safety and national security.
