About the Role

A leading European renewable energy platform is seeking a Senior Grid Connection Manager to support the delivery of utility‑scale solar, wind, and battery storage projects across multiple markets. This role sits within a technical new‑build team and takes ownership of grid connection strategy, execution, and compliance from early development through commissioning.

You will work closely with grid operators, EPC partners, and internal engineering teams to deliver robust MV/HV solutions that enable successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Grid Connection Management: Lead grid connection applications and agreements with DSOs and TSOs; manage the full grid connection lifecycle from initial application to commissioning.
• Technical Interface & Negotiation: Act as the primary technical interface between grid operators, EPCs, and internal stakeholders; lead technical discussions and negotiations on connection solutions and requirements.
• Electrical & Grid Engineering: Develop, review, and validate electrical concepts for PV, wind, and BESS projects; define and optimise MV and HV grid connection architectures.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable grid codes, technical standards, and connection requirements; provide technical input to engineering and procurement teams to support supplier selection and decision‑making.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Approx. 7 years’ experience in grid connection, power systems engineering, or technical leadership roles within renewable energy.
• Proven delivery of utility‑scale PV, wind, and/or BESS projects.
• Strong technical expertise in MV and HV infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Fluent German (spoken and written) is mandatory.
• Proactive, structured, and confident working in complex regulatory environments.
