(Senior) Group Accountant (m/f/d)

In this role you will steer the preparation of IFRS-compliant group financial statements and oversee consolidation to build an IFRS Excellence Center for the tesa Group. You will act as IFRS expert across group entities, drive process improvements and digital transformation, and coordinate audits. The position offers impact across reporting quality, efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration within a leading adhesive solutions company.

• Lead quarterly and annual group financial statement preparation under IFRS
• Oversee consolidation activities and accurate data integration from all entities
• Head IFRS goodwill and asset impairment testing and align with stakeholders
• Serve as IFRS subject matter expert and trusted advisor across group entities
• Ensure IFRS and internal policy compliance; continuously improve standards and procedures
• Promote IT-driven efficiency and AI-assisted automation in finance processes
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement recommendations
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reporting quality
• Drive project and process management initiatives within Group Accounting

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/ACCA or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum 5 years in group accounting or auditing, international environment ideal
• Deep knowledge of IFRS and consolidation techniques
• Experience applying IT tools/AI to improve finance processes; identify automation opportunities
• Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and advanced Excel
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience in project and process management is a plus
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
