Overview

Senior Hardware Engineer at TE develops robust automotive hardware for mixed-signal and high-voltage applications, ensuring EMC compliance and ISO 26262 safety up to ASIL C. You define hardware architectures and collaborate with software, layout, and test teams to deliver reliable electronic solutions. This role focuses on safe, EMC-aware design and SPICE-driven development in a cross-functional setting. You will shape hardware architectures and drive critical safety and testing activities.

Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Develop analog and digital hardware for automotive mixed-signal and high-voltage systems
  • Define hardware architectures and create hardware requirements, designs and specs
  • Lead EMC-compliant development of electronic assemblies and maintain EMC specs at system and hardware level
  • Perform EMC analyses, design reviews, and derive protection and filtering concepts
  • Support and evaluate internal and external EMC testing activities
  • Develop hardware-level diagnostic and safety mechanisms per ISO 26262 up to ASIL C
  • Execute EFD/FMEA and FMEDA and safety analyses with functional safety experts
  • Select and evaluate electronic components meeting automotive and safety requirements
  • Prepare development documentation following Automotive SPICE-oriented processes
  • Collaborate with software, layout, and test engineering teams
  • Coordinate technically with customers, suppliers, and certification authorities
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communication Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Min. 6 years of hardware engineering experience
  • Significant automotive hardware development experience
  • Experience in mixed-signal electronics and signal integrity
  • Strong knowledge of component selection and technology
  • Deep EMC engineering expertise including EMC specs, design, and testing
  • Experience with circuit simulation and risk assessment methods (FMEA, FMEDA)
  • Experience with Automotive SPICE-oriented development processes
  • Experience with ISO 26262 safety development up to ASIL C
  • Structured, self-driven work style
  • Very good German and English communication skills
  • Proficient in ECAD tools (preferred Altium Designer)
