Senior Hardware Engineer Control Electronics (m/f/d)

In this role, you define architectures and develop hardware solutions for automotive control electronics, balancing constraints like EMI/EMC, cost, and manufacturability. You work within agile, international teams to advance hardware concepts aligned with automotive standards, while mentoring peers and driving AI-enabled engineering improvements. • Define and develop requirements and system architectures for hardware solutions
• Design advanced control electronics balancing space, EMI/EMC, cost, and manufacturability
• Specify verification and validation strategies for new hardware
• Support testing, debugging, and troubleshooting during product development
• Develop innovative hardware concepts in line with automotive standards
• Work in agile, international project environments
• Communicate with engineering teams from global customers on technical topics
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering solutions to improve development efficiency
• Provide technical leadership and mentor team members
• Drive application and continuous improvement of leading technologies and methodologies
• Support strategic roadmap planning

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Physics or related field (or PhD)
• At least 9 years of experience in embedded hardware and control electronics development
• Strong knowledge of EMI/EMC requirements and compliance methods
• Experience with design tools such as Altium Designer or LTspice (advantage)
• Solid understanding of automotive development standards and processes
• Good German and English skills; strong analytical and communication abilities
