Your Role

• Own hardware development from prototype to production: mechanical, electrical, and system integration.
• Optimize our device for manufacturability, maintenance, and scalability - turning lab hardware into robust, field-deployable units.
• Work closely with our ML and Full-Stack Engineers to test both software and hardware, including NVIDIA Jetson hardware (JetPack 5/6), cameras, and sensors.
• Lead R&D and integration of the NIR hardware version of our product (optics, illumination, sensors).
• Develop relationships with manufacturing partners and suppliers and manage the supply chain and inventory.
• Implement SOP and manage assembly specialists.
• Drive compliance and certifications (CE, FCC, and relevant agri/foodtech certifications) to ensure readiness for global deployment.
• Develop testing protocols for durability, reliability, and quality assurance.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hardware/robotics engineering experience, ideally in robotics, IoT, or industrial automation.
• Strong background in mechanical design (CAD), electronics, mechatronics, and embedded systems integration.
• Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and transitioning hardware from the pilot stage to mass production.
• Familiarity with optics and sensing systems (cameras, NIR sensors, illumination systems).
• Proven track record of working with compliance/certification processes (CE, FCC, safety standards).
• Strong prototyping skills and ability to iterate quickly in a startup environment.
• Extensive experience setting up and scaling production for similar products.
• Bonus: experience in agri-tech, foodtech, or industrial inspection systems.
