Senior HSE Manager (m/f/d) - Data Centre Construction

In this role you lead environmental, health and safety efforts for large-scale Data Centre projects in Düsseldorf. You will align site safety with the client and Turner & Townsend safety programmes, supervising EHS resources and guiding risk assessments. You help build a proactive safety culture, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with local codes and client requirements. • Promote safety awareness among project managers on site
• Prepare, implement, and monitor the project EHS plan
• Lead safety meetings with client and trades
• Oversee client EHS resources and outsource EHS personnel
• Assess and approve contractor safety plans
• Review High Risk Activities and ensure safety compliance
• Champion safety initiatives and support client campaigns
• Perform investigations and root-cause analysis
• Provide safety support and guidance
• Ensure alignment with local safety regulations and Turner & Townsend Safety Programme

• Qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Construction Management, or related discipline
• Several years of experience in HSE leadership roles
• Experience on large-scale, complex projects; Data Centre experience preferred
• Proficient in project controls and risk assessments
• Strong communication, organization, coordination, and leadership skills
• Ability to coordinate and inspire consultants/contractors
• Experience managing stakeholder relationships and client-facing posture
• Familiarity with local health and safety legislation and best practices
• Ability to work quickly and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Fluent English; German is a plus
