Senior HV Grid Connection Lead (Germany)

An international renewable energy business is expanding its presence across Germany. As part of its continued growth, the company is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Grid Connection Manager to lead the delivery of high-voltage grid connection packages for utility-scale renewable energy projects. This is a key position within a growing technical team, offering the opportunity to manage complex grid infrastructure projects from engineering through to energisation while working alongside major network operators, contractors and engineering partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-voltage grid connection projects for utility-scale renewable energy developments.
• Manage grid connection activities, including substations, overhead lines and underground cable infrastructure.
• Coordinate with TSOs/DSOs, EPC contractors and engineering consultants.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks and technical performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable technical standards, grid codes and regulatory requirements.
• Support contractor management, technical negotiations and project reporting.
• Promote high standards of health, safety and quality across all project activities.

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience delivering high-voltage grid connection or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of substations, transmission infrastructure and grid connection processes.
• Experience working with TSOs, DSOs, utilities or EPC contractors.
• Knowledge of German grid standards and regulations is highly desirable.
• Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Germany.
