Senior Industrial Designer

As a Senior Industrial Designer at Helsing, you shape the physical design language across our defence technology portfolio. You own projects from concept to production, translating complex systems into refined, usable products fit for demanding environments. You collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure aesthetics, ergonomics, and manufacturability align with our mission. You’ll contribute to Helsing’s cross-domain design identity and product portfolio while addressing real-world operational challenges.

• Lead industrial design projects end-to-end from concept to production-ready execution
• Develop usable, manufacturable design solutions for advanced technology
• Translate complex systems into intuitive physical products meeting engineering constraints
• Define semantic design languages and coherent product architectures
• Plan and facilitate design sprints and validate ideas via prototyping and field evaluation
• Produce high-quality 3D models and visualisations for cross-functional communication
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing and product teams to scale designs
• Balance aesthetics, ergonomics, manufacturability and performance
• Contribute to the growth and coherence of Helsing's product portfolio

• Designed and shipped physical products from concept to production with a portfolio showing creative range and engineering rigor
• Strong 3D modelling and visualization capability; proficient in Alias, SolidWorks, Maya, Fusion 360, Rhino or equivalents
• Ability to think in systems, balancing technical constraints, user needs and manufacturing realities
• Refined sensitivity for semantics, detailing and graphical design with a distinctive point of view
• Experience in engineering-driven development environments with cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Clear, persuasive design communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders
