Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer Kibo (m/f/d)

In this role you will oversee reliable, secure plant IT infrastructure and drive IT/OT convergence at the site. You will act as the local technical interface to the global infrastructure team and coordinate site deployments with cross-functional teams. You’ll lead local infrastructure initiatives, ensure compliance with global standards, and minimize production disruption during changes. This position offers hands-on technical leadership in a manufacturing environment with a focus on resilience, security, and collaboration across IT and OT stakeholders.

• Maintain and understand the site infrastructure landscape (LAN/WAN/Wi‑Fi, servers, core services, backups, end-user compute) and dependencies
• Serve as the site point of contact for infrastructure incidents and coordinate with central teams and service providers
• Support lifecycle activities at site (patching, hardware refresh, capacity/performance monitoring, CMDB accuracy)
• Oversee local backup/restore procedures aligned with global standards
• Coordinate end-user computing rollout and device standards, collaboration/meeting room tech, and escalation with global teams
• Support plant-specific software solutions from an IT perspective (shopfloor clients, label/printing, data capture tools)
• Partner with Automation/Engineering and OT owners to support OT-connected systems (SCADA/MES interfaces, historians)
• Help implement IT/OT network segmentation and secure connectivity per enterprise standards
• Lead or co-lead local infrastructure projects from scope definition to execution and handover
• Coordinate site readiness for global deployments and manage cutover planning and hyper care
• Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery readiness and testing
• Execute security controls and compliance requirements for infrastructure and OT environments
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain technical documentation to improve resilience
• Act as liaison between plant leadership, IT, and OT stakeholders; coordinate with vendors/service partners for on-site work
• Ensure site governance, risk tracking, and documentation.
• Support risk assessments and change impact analyses for shopfloor/OT environments
• Manage knowledge of network diagrams, dependencies, OT/IT interfaces, and runbooks

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable practical experience
• Strong experience in plant/site IT infrastructure (networking, Windows and/or Linux, virtualization, EUC integration)
• Hands-on experience with end-user computing in manufacturing (endpoint lifecycle, collaboration tech, on-site support)
• Knowledge of core enterprise services (identity, DNS/DHCP, certificates, backups, monitoring, remote access, printing)
• Exposure to plant-specific software solutions and IT dependencies (shopfloor clients, data capture tools)
• Understanding of application/database concepts as they relate to infrastructure
• Experience with IT/OT convergence and OT environments (shopfloor connectivity, segmentation, change planning)
• Experience with BCP/DR activities and testing
• Demonstrated project leadership (scoping, planning, risk management, stakeholder coordination)
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
• Clear communication skills for non-IT stakeholders
• Security/compliance awareness for infrastructure and basic OT cybersecurity
• Ability to work independently on-site and willingness to travel
