Senior Java Backend Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Engineer with a strong desire to learn and innovate. They should be heavily motivated by both product and technology, and capable of producing scalable software solutions in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver large‑scale, resilient, and scalable distributed services that process billions of events.
• Implement, test, and stream line Nexthink’s data platform.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to design scalable solutions.
• Participate in the technology roadmap, advocate for improvements, and promote best practices.
• Ship complex features, handle support requests, and work with agile practices.
• Influence reliability, efficiency, and DevOps practices to ensure high system availability, scalability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of Java experience in SaaS projects.
• Strong microservices framework experience (Micronaut or Spring).
• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science (MSc preferred).
• Expertise with Kafka, streaming services, and distributed cache.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud providers.
• Familiarity with testing, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Self‑motivation, positive mindset, and professional‑level English proficiency.
