Senior Java Developer – AWS Cloud Migration, AI Models

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services
• Lead or support migration of applications from on-premises or legacy environments to AWS cloud
• Analyze existing systems and define migration strategies, including rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, or modernization
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, and CloudFormation
• Implement cloud-native and microservices-based architectures
• Integrate AI models or AI-enabled services for intelligent automation, analytics, or decision-making
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
• Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, and integration issues across development, testing, and production environments
• Optimize application performance, reliability, scalability, and security
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
• Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for deployment and release management
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical planning sessions
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, with minimum 12 years of experience, or 8 years of experience with master’s degree
Strong hands‑on experience in Java development, including object‑oriented design and enterprise application development
Proven experience with AWS cloud migration projects
Solid understanding of cloud architecture, deployment patterns, and AWS best practices
Experience working with REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
Familiarity with AI models, machine learning concepts, or AI‑powered application integration
Experience with version control, CI/CD tools, and agile development practices
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Selected candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred: Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, or Spring Cloud
Preferred: Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Preferred: Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
Preferred: Experience with AI/ML platforms, model deployment, prompt engineering, or generative AI services
Preferred: Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, encryption, and compliance requirements
Preferred: Experience modernizing legacy monolithic applications into cloud‑native architectures
Preferred: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog
