Senior Key Account Manager – Europe Central (DACH)

Location: LEGO Sales Office, Grasbrunn, Germany. Work model: hybrid – 3 days in office, up to 2 days remote. Relocation support not offered.

Responsibilities

  • Own the business across multiple key retail partners across the DACH region, from strategy to execution, managing a multi‑million Euro portfolio that is critical for LEGO’s success in the region.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of three, ensuring performance alignment, skill enhancement and a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Develop and execute channel strategy for all retailers in the sub‑channel, aligning with the overall commercial strategy and coordinating with the Channel Sales Director.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with retail partners to ensure customer satisfaction and long‑term partnership success.
  • Lead negotiations for key contracts and agreements, ensuring terms align with company objectives and promote mutual growth.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with logistics, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement of best‑in‑class ways of working.
  • Participate in overall business development and growth initiatives across the Europe Central team.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience managing major accounts in the German Grocery, Drug trade landscape.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales and profitability and a proven growth mindset when leading and developing teams.
  • Expertise in combining market trends, sales performance and customer data to derive customer and channel strategies.
  • Strong track record of negotiating favourable terms and maintaining productive relationships with key partners.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally and effectively communicate strategies, goals and performance updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business‑level proficiency in German and English.
