Senior Legal Advisor - Market Surveillance (f/m/d) (part-/full-time)

In this role you support the Market Surveillance team with legal expertise across regulatory and compliance matters, helping to safeguard the integrity of energy markets. You will draft analyses and opinions, and translate complex rules into clear guidance for both internal and external stakeholders. Your work strengthens regulatory interpretations and contributes to investigations, monitoring evolving EU energy and financial regulations. • Provide internal legal advice to the Market Surveillance team on regulatory and compliance matters
• Draft legal opinions and written assessments on complex regulatory issues
• Contribute legal analyses to investigation reports, including assessments of potential market abuse
• Explain and represent Market Surveillance work to external supervisory and regulatory authorities
• Monitor, analyse and interpret new and existing regulatory requirements (EU energy and financial market regulation)
• Engage in professional exchange with legal experts at other exchanges, authorities and institutions
• Support the continuous development of internal processes and legal standards within Market Surveillance

• Fully qualified lawyer (German Volljurist or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of regulatory law with focus on energy, financial, or capital markets regulation
• Experience with regulatory authorities or in regulated environments is desirable
• Excellent analytical and drafting skills to explain complex legal matters clearly
• Confident communication and ability to represent positions to stakeholders
• Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken)
