(Senior) Manager Direct Tax Compliance & Processes (m/f/d)

In this role you will partner with management to drive efficient tax compliance, accounting, and reporting. You will strengthen QIAGEN's tax governance and quality framework while supporting insourcing of tax activities and leading change initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the DACH region on tax reporting, process optimization, and strategic projects. • Develop and enhance the Tax Compliance Management System, supporting governance, quality, and change management.
• Support annual tax reporting for entities and group level under US GAAP and local GAAP.
• Manage direct tax return and compliance processes with external advisors across the DACH region.
• Oversee additional tax compliance obligations in the DACH region and maintain the tax calendar.
• Handle inbound and outbound withholding tax matters, drive reporting, filing, and process improvements.
• Act as a business partner to Accounting, Treasury, Legal, Operations, and other stakeholders on tax matters.
• Support tax audits, planning activities, and corporate tax restructuring projects.

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics (with focus on Tax/Accounting), Tax Administration (Finanzwirt) or comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an international advisory firm (e.g., Big 4) or in a multinational tax function
• Strong understanding of direct tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax reporting
• Proven ability to work independently with accuracy, diligence, and quality awareness
• Experience with Microsoft Office and tax/ERP systems such as DATEV and SAP
• Professional proficiency in English with strong communication skills
