Senior Manager, Email Security Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale a team of high‑performing engineers, providing mentorship and career development.
• Own the delivery and execution of the Email Security roadmap, ensuring high velocity without compromising on quality or reliability.
• Drive architectural decisions for complex, high‑throughput distributed systems and platforms.
• Partner cross‑functionally with Product and Security teams to align technical strategy with customer needs.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence, overseeing oncall rotations, incident response, and system health.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a strong IC in distributed systems or backend infrastructure, with a proven track record of transitioning into successful engineering management.
• Experience managing teams of engineers in a high‑scale, high‑growth environment.
• Strong product sense and the ability to translate technical constraints into product tradeoffs.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross‑functional partners like Product and Security.
• Startup agility: A low‑ego, “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” attitude with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast‑paced settings.
