Senior Manager Financial Group Accounting(m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• Lead and further develop the General Ledger, Retail Accounting, and Consolidation & Reporting teams
• Ensure the proper preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and HGB at both entity and group level
• Manage and ensure an efficient and timely closing process
• Oversee journal entries, accruals, provisions and period‑end closing postings
• Ensure high quality of balance sheet reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
• Take responsibility for intercompany reconciliations and consolidation processes
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, HGB and internal policies and control systems
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a comparable qualification with a focus on accounting or taxation
• Additional qualification (e.g. certified accountant) is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable leadership role in an international, process‑driven environment
• Strong expertise in general ledger accounting, consolidation and the record‑to‑report process
• Very good knowledge of IFRS and HGB
• Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
• Experience with shared service center environment is a plus
