(Senior) Manager Global Insurance (m/f/d)

In this role you shape Symrise's global insurance landscape to support growth, protect assets and optimize risk transfer. You’ll work with Finance, Legal and Operations to drive strategy, governance and process improvements across regions. The position offers ownership of strategic initiatives, including captive and alternative risk financing. You will align insurance solutions with business needs and deliver clear reporting to stakeholders, while strengthening partnerships with brokers and insurers. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a global, cross-functional environment and wants to influence risk financing at scale.

• Manage and enhance the global insurance portfolio across multiple lines of coverage
• Coordinate international insurance programs with brokers, insurers and local entities
• Support renewals, placement activities and tender processes to optimize coverage and cost
• Develop and implement insurance and risk transfer solutions aligned with business needs
• Contribute to captive and alternative risk financing strategy and governance
• Assess business risks and translate into practical insurance recommendations
• Monitor costs, premiums and program performance with transparent reporting
• Coordinate management of insurance claims and drive process improvements
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
• Develop and maintain global insurance standards, policies and governance

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management or comparable qualification
• Solid experience in corporate insurance, brokerage or insurance company
• Strong understanding of global insurance programs and industrial risks
• Experience with captive solutions and international structures is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and a commercial mindset
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• Ability to thrive in a global, cross-functional environment
• Proactive, hands-on and solution-oriented approach
• Fluent English; German is a plus
