(Senior) Manager (m/f/d) M&A

As an M&A professional, you support Heraeus' group strategy by driving inorganic growth opportunities. You will lead and assist M&A transactions across all phases, from origination to integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. You perform financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence, shaping deal rationale and messaging to Senior Executives. This role offers high-visibility impact on strategic deals and growth across global operating companies.

• Advise senior leadership on inorganic growth opportunities and contribute to group strategy.
• Lead and support M&A transactions (buy/sell, investments, partnerships) from origination to integration.
• Conduct financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence; participate in negotiation and structuring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to assess fit and rationale.
• Identify and analyse new investment opportunities for Heraeus and group companies.
• Prepare and present opportunities, progress, and strategic recommendations to Senior Executives as M&A expert.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or natural sciences/engineering; MBA or graduate degree is a plus
• 5–7 years of relevant full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate M&A, or strategy consulting
• Strong analytical skills with enthusiasm for financial modelling/analyses
• Proven track record in dealmaking and driving growth with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Strong presentation and communication skills for Senior Executives
• Experience working with global cross-functional teams; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Very good English & German, written and spoken
• Willingness to travel 10–20%
