Job Responsibilities

Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.
Utilizes software and other design and modeling tools to plan, develop, and improve mechanical parts or components and communicate conceptual designs and specifications to stakeholders.
Develops solutions and solves intermediate to semi-complex problems to deliver engineering projects on-time, on-quality, and on-budget.
Writes reports and presents work at peer and design reviews.
May provide training and support to new team members.
May include safety, environmental protection, and compliance considerations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Typically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and related experience or a recognized apprenticeship.
May be required to maintain security clearance.
Security Requirements: This role requires undergoing Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check (BPSS) at minimum, with some roles requiring further national security vetting checks.
Candidates must provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK, and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance, which may involve additional evidence.
