Robotics Modelling & Simulation Engineer
Some robotics roles are about making demos look impressive.
This one is about making sure the robot is physically correct before the hardware is even built.
I am working with a well-funded stealth robotics company building humanoid robots for industrial environments, with the ambition to create a European leader in physical AI.
They are assembling a core engineering team across AI, mechatronics, control, hardware and robotics systems, with the goal of building robots that can move from prototype into real-world deployment at speed.
This role sits at the centre of that mission.
As Robotics Modelling & Simulation Engineer, you will own the digital twin and simulation foundations behind the robot. Your work will help define load requirements, torque specifications, actuator needs, kinematic constraints and system‑level performance before hardware decisions are locked in.
In simple terms, you will help make sure the robot is engineered correctly from first principles.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining high‑fidelity robot models and simulation environments that act as a single source of truth for the wider engineering team.
This is not just simulation for visualisation.
The work will directly influence mechanical design, actuator selection, control strategy, packaging, system architecture and the physical limits of the robot.
You will work closely with mechanical, electrical, software and control engineers to make sure design decisions are grounded in robust modelling, classical physics and real‑world engineering constraints.
The strongest fit will likely be someone who has worked deeply across robotics simulation, multi‑body dynamics, mechatronics and physical modelling.
This role needs someone who enjoys precision.
Someone who can think from first principles, challenge assumptions, and help the team avoid expensive hardware mistakes before they happen.
You should bring experience across several of the following areas:
This company is looking for builders. Not people who only want to work on isolated research problems.
The right person will be practical, technically deep and comfortable making decisions in a fast‑moving environment where the hardware, software and modelling work all need to connect.
They need someone who can be precise without being slow, ambitious without being political, and collaborative enough to work across several engineering disciplines.
This is a strong fit for someone who wants ownership and enjoys solving problems where the cost of being wrong is real.
This is a chance to join a stealth robotics company early, before the story is widely known.
The company is building in one of the most competitive and important robotics categories globally, with a clear focus on European engineering, industrial deployment and physical AI.
For someone who wants to work on humanoid robotics, digital twins, simulation, system modelling and first‑principles engineering, this is a rare opportunity to help shape the foundations of a robot before the architecture becomes fixed.
If this sounds relevant, apply here or message me directly and I can share more context on the company, leadership team and process.
