Senior Open Source Advisor

Responsibilities

• Drive and operationalize the company's inbound and outbound FOSS strategy
• Provide actionable guidance on project-specific FOSS licensing and software architecture issues
• Automate software composition analysis and FOSS compliance processes
• Promote responsible use of FOSS through community events and publications
• Deliver training and develop the FOSS enablement program
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency in working with FOSS
• Build and maintain a network of internal and external experts in FOSS management

Requirements

• Ideally 5+ years' experience in software engineering
• 3+ years focused on FOSS, information security, and software compliance in a regulated industry
• Proven experience advocating for the use and value of FOSS
• Strong understanding of the principles of Free Software and Open Source
• Hands‑on experience with common SCA tools such as ORT, Black Duck, ScanCode
• Clear and effective communication across diverse groups, including management
• Independent working style with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
