About the Role

At Bolt, we are building a future where cities are for people, not cars. The Rentals team is at the heart of this mission, providing sustainable micromobility solutions. We are looking for a Senior Operations Specialist to lead e‑scooter and e‑bike operations across the Langenfeld, Düsseldorf, and Cologne markets.

While we are targeting a Senior profile, this role remains open to high‑potential applicants at various career stages who are ready to scale quickly. The Senior Operations Specialist acts as the engine room of local operations. This role is responsible for the daily lifecycle of the fleet, ensuring vehicles are positioned optimally for the community. It requires a balance of hands‑on leadership for both office and frontline teams with high‑level data analysis to drive profitability and service excellence.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Operational Execution: Oversee daily e‑scooter and e‑bike supply across Düsseldorf and Cologne, maintaining constant contact with 3PLs to coordinate tasks.
• Team Leadership: Directly manage 1–2 office‑based roles and provide indirect leadership for a fleet operations team of 8–20 frontline professionals.
• Profitability & Cost Control: Maintain rigorous oversight of operational expenses and budgets to hit profitability targets in designated cities.
• Data‑Driven Optimization: Analyze ride statistics, supply trends, and performance KPIs to suggest and execute strategic business improvements.
• Compliance & Quality: Monitor service standards and ensure all operations remain fully compliant with specific city regulations and local ordinances.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Maintenance team to ensure vehicle health and streamline warehouse‑to‑street workflows.

About You

• Experienced Leader: You bring 3+ years of experience in managing teams, including a mix of office‑based staff and frontline or logistics personnel.
• Analytically Minded: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a related field and possess intermediate‑to‑advanced analytical skills.
• AI Proficient: You understand how to leverage AI tools to enhance your own output and the overall efficiency of the team.
• Multilingual Professional: You are fluent in English (C1/C2) and possess at least a B2 level of German to navigate local stakeholder and city relationships.
• Local & Mobile: You are based within a 15 km radius of Langenfeld and preferably hold a Class B Driver’s License, and can travel between 3 locations.
• Structured & Proactive: You thrive under pressure, work excellently under your own initiative, and adjust quickly to the changing conditions of the shared economy.
