Senior Oracle Database Engineer

The Client - India's largest multinational business group - employs over 580,000 of the world's best-trained consultants in 55 countries. In Germany and Austria, The Client is currently working with over 100 customers on their digital transformation projects, including more than half of the Dax 40 companies and numerous small and medium-sized enterprises. In Germany, more than 2,100 employees work for 13 locations.

What to expect

• Further development and operation of a global Oracle database platform
• Development and optimization of automation and database solutions
• Implementation of root cause analyses as well as sustainable troubleshooting
• Support of development teams on database and performance topics
• 3rd level support for Oracle databases and Oracle Exadata cloud solutions
• Design and optimization of database models
• Collaboration on highly available and scalable database architectures

What you bring to the table

• Degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
• At least 10+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in enterprise environments
• Sound knowledge of Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 18c, 19c, 23ai)
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Clusterware, ASM, and Data Guard
• Expertise in Oracle Exadata, Exadata and Performance Tuning
• Experience with backup and recovery procedures (RMAN, Flashback, Data Pump)
• Good knowledge of PL/SQL, Python and shell scripting
• Experience with Ansible, Git, and JIRA
• Fluent in German and English
• Willingness to travel 50-60% of the time to clients' offices
