The Role: Senior Planner

As Senior Planner, you will take ownership of the construction programme across major data centre projects from pre-construction through to project completion.

Working closely with Project Directors, Construction Managers, Commercial Teams and Design Managers, you will develop, manage and maintain detailed project programmes while ensuring all milestones are achieved.

This Senior Planner position plays a vital role in programme delivery, identifying risks, monitoring progress and supporting project teams to ensure successful completion of complex construction projects.

Must Have Requirements

• Must have 8+ years' experience as a Senior Planner or Project Planner within the construction industry
• Proven experience required delivering large-scale building projects
• Strong Primavera P6 experience is essential
• Experience working for a main contractor is required
• Excellent understanding of programme management and critical path analysis

Preferred Experience

• Data centre experience preferred
• Pharmaceutical or mission critical project experience beneficialNEC or FIDIC contract knowledge advantageous
• BIM and digital construction experience beneficial

Nice to Have

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline
• Microsoft Project experience
• Power BI reporting knowledge

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 construction programmes
• Monitor programme performance against project milestones
• Identify critical path activities and potential delays
• Produce short-term and long-term planning schedules
• Work closely with site management to monitor progress
• Prepare programme reports for senior management and clients
• Support tender planning and pre-construction activities
• Assist with extension of time assessments
• Analyse productivity and sequencing opportunities
• Attend planning and coordination meetings

About You

You are an experienced Senior Planner with a strong understanding of programme management on complex construction projects.

You are confident working alongside operational and commercial teams while maintaining accurate project schedules throughout the construction lifecycle.

Your attention to detail, communication skills and ability to identify programme risks early help ensure projects are delivered safely and on programme.
