Senior Platform Engineer – AWS

Responsibilities

• Drive the evolution and stabilization of our central authentication systems
• Own and improve the observability, scalability, security, and cost-efficiency of our infrastructure
• Implement infrastructure-as-code across our ecosystems
• Provide mentorship to platform senior engineers
• Implement the company vision by championing a DevOps culture
• Constructively challenge technical directions and share insights openly

Requirements

• Deep proficiency and hands‑on experience working in the AWS environment
• Strong background in system operations, specifically Linux/Unix
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python (or similar)
• At least 2 years of proven experience actively mentoring other engineers
• Security‑minded approach to platform engineering
• Demonstrated ability to constructively challenge viewpoints while keeping alignment with the organization’s best interests
• Preference for a hybrid setup combining remote flexibility with 2 days per week on‑site collaboration in our Kreuzberg office
