The Role

An established, leading European InsurTech SaaS platform is seeking a Senior Platform Site Reliability Engineer to join its growing infrastructure team. The organization is on a mission to make pension, life, and health insurance digital, efficient, and accessible, and is currently looking for an expert in hybrid cloud environments and Infrastructure as Code to help shape the future of its platform.

In this position, the successful candidate will not only design and operate robust systems for the company’s SaaS offerings but will also play a key role in defining infrastructure strategy. Core Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Evolution: Architect, build, and evolve the organization’s hybrid cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on resilience, scalability, and security.
• Automation & Hardening: Lead the automation and hardening of production environments, applying modern DevOps practices to minimize toil and increase reliability.
• Operational Ownership: Own the development and operation of the platform, ensuring high performance and high availability.
• Observability: Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems that shift focus from simple outages to symptom-based, proactive reliability engineering.
• Incident Management: Troubleshoot complex production issues across the full stack and lead root cause analysis (RCA) processes.
• Mentorship: Act as a technical leader by mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and reliability.

What is Expected

• Experience: 8+ years of hands‑on experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure-heavy roles, with a proven track record of scaling systems in hybrid cloud environments.
• Technical Stack: Proven experience operating Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, HashiCorp Vault, and Min.IO in production.
• IaC Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform and Ansible.
• Infrastructure Knowledge: A strong grasp of virtualization and networking (e.g., VMware, NSX-T, OpenStack).
• Observability Tools: Hands‑on experience with tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or the Elastic Stack.
• Compliance & Security: Solid understanding of IT security principles, with experience working within ISO 27001 or similar compliance frameworks.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, mission‑driven mindset.
