Overview

As a Senior Computer Architect at NXP, you will research, develop, and advance AI accelerator IPs for embedded products. You’ll bridge hardware and software, shaping memory, compute, and toolchain implications to meet cost and power constraints. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to drive innovation toward NXP’s intelligent edge leadership, contributing to chip tape-out readiness and strategic technology directions.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Research and development of AI accelerator IPs for multiple products
Track industry trends and participate in technical forums and literature reviews
Direct activities of team members working on hardware/software co-design
Collaborate with software toolchains, compilers, SOC performance models, and logic design teams across regions
Translate high-level performance/energy targets into realizable hardware architectures
Support tape-out readiness and problem-solving during product life cycles
Interact with external teams to align toolchains and hardware performance
Lead or contribute to security-related tasks when scope includes security certifications

Zentrale Anforderungen

Minimum 10 years of experience
Ability to map Power/Performance/Area requirements into HW architectures
Proven track record in architecture/design of highly parallel/SIMD/Vector/Matrix processing
Deep knowledge of RTL design, simulation, verification
C/C++ embedded programming
Python and other high-level languages for modeling/automation
C compilers and collaboration with low-level and high-level software teams
Understanding of system-level interplay
AMBA bus protocols
Memory controllers
Bus fabrics
Good communicator and team-player
Basic knowledge of AI mathematical operations with willingness to learn deeper
Basic knowledge of DSP (FFT/Filters/Convolution/Correlation)
Strong English communication skills
Possibility of security-related tasks and compliance with security certifications
