Stellenbeschreibung:

Senior Producer – Live Game & New Project

About us

We’re 16 Tons Entertainment, a German studio with around 25 people spread across Berlin and Tübingen. We make EMERGENCY HQ: an established, live mobile game in the App Store that sits in a genuinely unusual spot between strategy, simulation, and puzzle. It’s been running successfully for years, it’s growing, and we intend to keep it that way.

We’re not a startup anymore, and we’re not a faceless corporation. We know what we’re building, we have the revenue to invest in it properly, and right now our priority is sustaining and accelerating that growth. We’re also early in thinking about what comes next: a new game, in exploration phase, that will gradually need more attention as we develop it further.

We’re a small team. People here own their work, deal with real complexity, and talk directly to the people making the decisions. If that appeals to you, read on.

The role

This is a senior production role reporting directly to the CEO and Game Director. You’ll own the production side of EMERGENCY HQ as your first and primary focus: shaping how we plan, scope, and execute as a live team, and making sure good ideas reliably find their way into the hands of players.

We already have a project manager on the team. Part of your job is to work alongside them, raise their game, and help them develop into someone more senior over time. You won’t just delegate to them; you’ll model the kind of production thinking we want to build here.

As the new game moves from exploration into preproduction, your attention will expand to cover it too.

What this actually means day-to-day

You’re not the creative director. You’re not the game designer. But you understand that the journey from a great idea on a whiteboard to a great player experience in a shipped update is where most things go wrong, and that navigating that well, every time, is its own art. That’s what you’re here for.

You’re the person who makes sure we’re being honest about what’s on the roadmap, how long things take, and what depends on what. You keep scope connected to reality. You help the team navigate decisions without turning everything into a committee. You’re the one who notices when a milestone is quietly slipping before anyone else says it out loud and you do something about it.

In concrete terms: realistic planning, clear milestones, dependency tracking, release readiness, cross‑functional communication that actually works. Not for its own sake, but because shipping good things on time is something you care about.

You bring calm to uncertainty. You push back on unrealistic scope with confidence and warmth. You know when to document and when to just get the room aligned and move on.

What we’re looking for

You’ve run a live game, ideally on mobile, and you understand what it means to balance the constant pull of the live roadmap against the health of the team and the quality of the work. You’ve worked in a smaller organization where you had to figure a lot out yourself, and you were better for it.

You know how to work with a senior team, and you know how to build and iterate the right scaffolding for it: clear ownership, honest planning, the right amount and type of communication. You build structure in a way that earns trust and is productive rather than creating overhead. You’ve probably had to unlearn some things from a larger organization at some point.

Ideally you’ve mentored people. You understand that growing a junior colleague is part of doing your job well, not something that happens when you have spare time.

The practical details

Location: Berlin, hybrid. We’d like you in the office regularly. We’re open to some flexibility, but presence matters to how we work. If you’re looking more for a remote job with occasional travel, please do not apply!

Language: The studio works in English day‑to‑day. German is useful but not a requirement.

Start: As soon as possible.

How to apply

Send us a CV and a few sentences about what kind of production challenges you find most interesting right now.
