Senior Product Definition Engineer (f/m/div) – Power Electronics & Semiconductor Modules for Solar PV & Energy Storage

Your Role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Support the design‑in activities at major worldwide customers with a focus on Asian PV (Photovoltaic) and ESS (Energy Storage Systems) markets – technical guidance, facilitating integration and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Identify technical market trends and customer/application requirements, translating insights into product requirements that meet evolving demands of the renewable energy market.
• Shape product line strategy for new solutions by conducting technical investigations and early concept estimations in close collaboration with our R&D experts and marketing teams, acting as an internal customer to ensure the development status aligns with market and customer needs.
• Publish new products or technology features through trainings, papers, conferences and internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• A degree in Electrical Engineering (alternatives: Mechatronics , Industrial Engineering or a related field ).
• Strong interest in power electronics and semiconductors with several years of relevant professional experience in R&D, technical marketing or similar.
• A faible for technical customer handling , leveraging strong organizational and problem‑solving skills to lead and coordinate complex topics.
• High communication skills, open mindset and the ability to establish and maintain social networks with internal and external partners.
• Ability to act as a product strategist with a sense for shaping future product roadmaps that meet future business demands.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken); German skills would be an additional advantage.
• Willingness to undertake international business travel, particularly intercontinental trips (approximately three times per year, one week per trip).
