Senior Product Definition Engineer (f/m/div) - Power Semiconductor Modules - PV & Energy Storage

Your Role

• Support the design‑in activities at major worldwide customers, with a focus on Asian PV and ESS markets – technical guidance, facilitating product integration and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Identify Technical Market Trends and Customer/Application requirements and translate insights into product requirements to meet the evolving renewable energy market.
• Shape the product‑line strategy for new solutions through technical investigations and early concept estimations in close collaboration with R&D experts and marketing teams.
• Act as “internal customer” in development teams to ensure that development status aligns with market and customer needs.
• Publish new products or technology features (e.g., by trainings, papers, conferences) and share Infineon internal know‑how.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering; alternatives are Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in power electronics and semiconductors, with several years of relevant professional experience in R&D, technical marketing or a similar field.
• Affinity for technical customer handling, leveraging strong organizational and problem‑solving skills to lead and coordinate complex topics.
• High communication skills, an open mindset, and the ability to establish and maintain social networks with internal and external partners.
• Ability to act as a product strategist with a sense for shaping future product roadmaps that meet business demands.
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken); German skills would be an additional advantage.
• Willingness to undertake international business travel, particularly intercontinental trips (approximately three times per year, one week per trip).
