Senior Product Manager DACH (f/m/d)

Bavarian Nordic is a global vaccine company with a mission to improve health and save lives through innovative vaccines. We are a preferred supplier of mpox and smallpox vaccines to governments to enhance public health preparedness and have a leading portfolio of travel vaccines. We are headquartered in Denmark and have manufacturing, research, and sales offices across Europe and North America.

Your impact

You will drive the commercial performance of a key brand across DACH, combining strategic brand leadership, omnichannel engagement, and strong stakeholder management.

Working closely with Sales, Medical, and Global teams, you will translate insights into action, challenge the status quo, and elevate field impact. Success in this role requires a pioneering, hands-on mindset and the agility to turn ideas into action in a dynamic environment.

You will lead a team of two marketers and one working student. You will report to the Marketing Director DACH.

The position is based in Martinsried (Germany), hybrid working is possible. A valid work permit is required, and the role involves approximately 20% travel in the DACH region.

• Lead and develop the dedicated marketing team while supporting broader DACH priorities and organization
• Shape and execute the DACH brand strategy, tactical plans, and KPI tracking
• Turn market and customer insights into commercial actions and growth opportunities
• Lead key strategic brand initiatives that drive business impact
• Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure strong local execution across DACH
• Advance omnichannel engagement while managing budget and vaccine supply

To succeed in this role, you bring strong commercial pharma experience combined with a strategic mindset and the ability to navigate a very agile environment.

• Min. of 8 years professional experience, in pharmaceutical commercial roles, ideally in product or brand management preferably in vaccines
• First direct leadership experience a plus
• Strong knowledge of the German healthcare system. Additional knowledge of the Swiss and/or Austrian systems is a plus
• Proven ability to work closely with sales teams and drive impactful field engagement
• Strong capabilities in omnichannel marketing and project management
• Analytical mindset with the ability to turn insights into clear, actionable decisions
• Relevant academic background (e.g. Business, Marketing, Life Sciences) combined with fluency in German and English

You are an excellent communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach and the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders. You bring a pioneering mindset and enjoy building, testing, and improving as you go. You thrive in fast-paced matrix environments, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution and a pragmatic, agile way of working.
