We are seeking a seasoned Senior Program Manager, Professional Services for Defense and Intelligence, to join our global team. In this pivotal hybrid role, you will be an experienced technologist guiding the strategy and execution of multiple projects and teams within our Professional Services division. You will serve as an exemplary leader, driving the success of Planet's Defense and Intelligence customers globally through the adoption of our cutting-edge product offerings.

This position demands strong leadership and technical oversight, requiring you to independently identify and solve complex, ambiguous problems to ensure successful outcomes for significant global customer engagements. Based in our Berlin, Haarlem, or London office three days a week, you will play a critical role in transforming how our defense and intelligence partners leverage space-based insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a team of Professional Services Solutions architects, deployment strategists, and Software Engineers.
• Apply experience in remote sensing and geospatial technologies to help Planet's Defense and Intelligence customers be successful in their adoption of the Planet Platform globally.
• Guide the strategy and execution of one or more teams across multiple projects or workstreams on six to twelve-month time horizons.
• Lead the technical delivery of solutions to Planet's customers and align Professional Services projects to global business and technology requirements.

• Demonstrated experience as a technologist, specifically in program or project management within professional services.
• Proven ability to guide strategy and execution across multiple teams and projects within a technical domain.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of leading technical teams and customer engagements.
• Expertise in remote sensing and geospatial technologies, particularly applicable to Defense and Intelligence sectors.
• Experience working directly with global customers to ensure successful product adoption and achieve strategic outcomes.
• Adept at independently identifying, tackling, and solving open-ended, ambiguous problems.
• Ability to provide leadership and technical oversight for Professional Services teams.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, requiring 3 days per week from our Berlin, Haarlem, or London office.
