The MaterialDigital platform, funded by the BMFTR, is dedicated to the digitization of materials and thereby unlocks new market and technological potential through digital material data rooms and innovative, data-driven workflows along the entire value chain. Successfully implementing these challenging and interdisciplinary research topics requires professional support for management, communication, and transformation processes within a large, Germany-wide consortium of academia and industry. The MaterialDigital platform's administrative office at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) serves as the initiative's central coordination and management unit and is primarily responsible for coordinating between project partners, committees, funding agencies, and the scientific and industrial communities.
