Responsibilities

• Manage the development and implementation of installation concepts and the execution of installation work in our railroad electrification projects, ensuring they are carried out within the agreed time, budget and quality frames and in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Support the sales department in the implementation of country strategies, development of optimized installation and testing concepts for overhead line systems and qualification of installation partners and subcontractors.
• Manage the entire process of tendering and awarding planning, construction supervision and construction services, ensuring transparency and promoting state‑of‑the‑art methods such as “Design to Value Engineering”.
• Actively influence the construction process, improve technical documentation and optimize execution concepts in the long term.
• Be responsible for technical requirements management in the tendering process, development of projects and coordinate interfaces between various technical and non‑technical partners, including opportunity and risk management.
• Manage and control construction projects and monitor compliance with time, cost and quality targets on the construction site.
• Monitor construction progress, check construction site documentation and provide technical support for contract and supplementary management; report to relevant stakeholders and ensure work acceptance.
• Actively drive development of a global network of experts and promote the introduction of developed methods within Siemens Mobility by sharing experiences and best practices.

Qualifications

• University degree (diploma or master’s) in electrical engineering or a comparable engineering discipline with electrical engineering content.
• Many years of professional experience in detailed planning and awarding of installation services as well as in structural and/or technical project management.
• Experience in procurement and qualification of installation subcontractors and in the tendering process with in‑depth knowledge of overhead line systems.
• Expertise in preparation of schedules, resource plans and installation/testing procedures and plans for brown‑field and green‑field installations.
• Ideally, intercultural experience through assignments abroad and willingness to travel worldwide (up to 20%).
• Business‑fluent English; German and additional language skills are an advantage.
