(Senior) Prototyping Engineer (m/f/d)

As Senior Prototyping Engineer, you will be a key member of our Prototyping Team, driving the development and validation of new technologies that enable advanced capabilities in our drones.

You will work closely with stakeholders from Electronics and Mechanical Hardware Design to ensure seamless integration of new concepts and deliver robust prototypes that meet performance and safety standards.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Lead complex prototyping projects and contribute to detailed design of UAV systems.

• Develop software (apps and embedded) to enable feasibility testing and system validation.

• Integrate new hardware into existing drone architecture for evaluation and testing.

• Assess requirements for new capabilities and create integration concepts.

• Define test strategies, design advanced test stands, and lead test campaigns.

• Verify prototypes and first articles against technical and regulatory requirements.

• Provide technical documentation and recommendations for design improvements.

What you bring to the team:

• Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering ; advanced degree is a plus.

• 5+ years of experience in prototyping, system validation, or product development, ideally in UAVs, robotics, or aerospace.

• Solid knowledge of digital and analog electronics and embedded systems.

• Proficiency in programming (C/C++, Python, MATLAB, C#) and test automation.

• Experience with CAD tools (CATIA and Fusion preferred) and rapid prototyping technologies.

• Familiarity with Arduino, sensors, avionics, and communication systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

• Fluent in English ; German is a plus.
