Senior Python Developer

Responsibilities

• You work on the planning, design and development of modern web applications in an enterprise environment
• You develop high-performance backend solutions with Python using frameworks such as FastAPI and/or Flask
• You create attractive frontends with HTML, CSS and JavaScript as well as modern frameworks like Angular and/or React
• You develop template-based web applications and implement sophisticated UI concepts
• You design and implement REST APIs and work on the integration of distributed systems
• You implement microservice and event‑driven architectures and develop highly available, security‑critical systems
• You take care of database connectivity and optimization as well as the use of NoSQL technologies
• You work on platform solutions and developer portals (e.g., Backstage) and optionally on data mesh concepts
• You actively contribute to DevOps topics and support deployments in cloud and on‑premises environments

Requirements

• You have at least 3 years of relevant practical experience in planning, design and development of web applications in an enterprise environment
• You have at least 3 years of hands‑on experience in backend development with Python and solid knowledge of FastAPI and/or Flask
• You have at least 3 years of experience in frontend development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as Angular and/or React
• You have extensive experience in designing and developing REST APIs
• You are familiar with distributed systems as well as microservice and event‑driven architectures
• You have experience in designing and implementing solution architectures for highly available and security‑critical systems
• You have at least 3 years of experience in developing and optimizing database integrations
• You have at least 2 years of experience with NoSQL databases, including data modeling, migrations and performance optimization
• Ideally, you bring experience with platform solutions and developer portals (e.g., Backstage). Knowledge of data mesh concepts, data contracts, data governance and data quality is an advantage
• You have solid practical experience with Kubernetes (including Helm charts) and with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD
• You have experience operating and deploying applications in cloud and on‑premises environments
• You have strong knowledge of Git/GitLab, CI/CD processes and Azure DevOps (including deployment pipelines)
• You are proficient with Linux‑based environments, shell scripting, as well as test automation and the use of appropriate testing tools.
