Senior R&D Engineer - Ultrasound & Sensor Systems (all genders welcome)
You develop and are responsible for the technical conception and realization of the sensor systems throughout the entire development process
You translate customer and application requirements into viable system architectures, with a focus on ultrasonic technologies and state-of-the-art signal processing
You derive requirements from system level down to component level (sensors, electronics, evaluation methods, interfaces) and translate them into precise technical specifications
You define, plan, and manage verification and validation tests at system level based on technical specifications
With profound knowledge of relevant development, product and standards landscapes as well as your experience in their practical implementation, you contribute to the overall success of our projects
You advise management on technological topics, particularly sensor technologies, system platforms, and inspection applications, and their impact on our technology and product roadmap
You work closely with an interdisciplinary and international team across mechanics, electronics, and software, driving high-tech solutions for demanding applications
To become part of the Rosenxt family, you apply your creativity as well as your structured and self-driven working style in a way that creates value for both the company and your team. You also bring:
Degree in natural sciences or engineering (e.g. physics, electrical engineering, mechatronics) and at least 5 years of industrial experience in developing innovative sensor systems in the NDT environment
Proven track record in system and architecture design of sensor systems, including requirements engineering, interface definition and hardware/software specification
Solid, broad-based expertise in established measurement technologies and their practical use in industrial applications like condition monitoring and non-destructive testing
Demonstrated expertise in ultrasonics (e.g. time-of-flight and echo methods, phased arrays, guided waves), including driver electronics, signal processing and typical applications
Several years of experience in the design of sensors and sensor electronics (analog frontends, A/D conversion, noise optimization, EMC-compliant design)
Familiarity with relevant standards and guidelines in measurement technology and their implementation in development projects
Experience in dealing with intellectual property (patents, freedom-to-operate analyses, IP monitoring)
In-depth market and technology knowledge to support well-founded make-or-buy decisions
Structured, self-driven and team-oriented working style combined with excellent communication skills in both German and English
