Senior R&D Power Transformer Engineer – Reliability & Failure Analysis (f/m/d)

In this role you will coordinate and align activities aimed at enhancing transformer technology. You will lead test failure analyses and coordinate improvement actions globally with domain experts and quality teams, while proposing a program to raise transformer reliability. You will maintain a test failure database, report resolutions, and drive root-cause investigations and process improvements. You will shape reliability strategies for transformers and explore advanced risk analysis, testing, and FMEA techniques. This position offers collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to uplift product quality and performance.

• Maintain and use the test failure database and related software
• Handle reports and communicate resolutions from a technical standpoint
• Perform root-cause analysis and drive process improvements
• Define strategy for reliability execution in transformers
• Explore/improve risk analysis techniques, product/process testing, FMEA, and field data analysis
• Adapt quality tools for technology oversight in power transformers
• Provide support during failure analyses
• Follow up on containment actions and preventive measures

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical education
• 10+ years' experience in designing power transformers
• Experience in quality functions (beneficial)
• Experience in transformer service (beneficial)
• Project management experience (advantage)
• Willingness to work in a remote and diverse environment
• Very good communication skills and proficiency in English
