Senior R&D Supply Chain Specialist

In this role you will act as the hands-on supply chain partner to fast-moving engineering teams, translating evolving concepts into actionable sourcing steps. You will ensure component availability, identify alternatives, and mitigate obstructions to keep hardware builds on schedule. You will work with agile suppliers to secure quick-turn fabrication and assembly, even under changing designs and tight deadlines. This position offers visibility across cross-functional teams and an opportunity to shape rapid prototyping workflows. You will join ICEYE’s mission to deliver sovereign, space-based intelligence with high-quality, low-latency systems.

• Own sourcing and procurement for electronic components, PCB fabrication, PCBA assembly, connectors, sensors, RF parts, embedded modules, and custom mechanical parts
• Provide engineers with real-time insights on availability, alternates, obsolescence, and quick-turn manufacturing options
• Identify supply issues before they block progress and propose workaround paths
• Coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, program management, and operations to keep builds ready and on track
• Maintain visibility into prototype schedules, changes, and material risks, with clear communication

• 5+ years of electronics sourcing or engineering supply chain experience in fast-moving hardware environments
• Strong technical understanding of semiconductors, passive components, PCB fabrication, PCBA, embedded electronics, and prototyping flows
• Hands-on experience with interpreting schematics, BOMs, AVL requirements, PCB stackups, and manufacturing docs
• Proficiency with ERP systems and engineering/project tools
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
• Ability to operate in startup-like conditions with tight deadlines and shifting priorities
